2026 Nationals Announcement

There were 3 applications for the SCNA Nationals submitted. The Florida application was withdrawn after the first venue was not available. Upon discussion with the GC, it was decided to give Florida the chance to secure a second option for a venue. District 3 has not had an SCNA National and the central location would allow for members from District 5 to attend as well as the large amount of new members from District 3. Having the larger shows rotate locations has been a great help for exhibitors in areas where shows may not be available to them.

CBL Committee
Report

Last year’s GC and CBL Committee highlighted issues with the Constitution and By-Laws. These documents are not meant to be updated annually, but day-to-day procedures were mistakenly written into them. Given rapid technological and procedural changes, constant revisions and member votes are tedious and unnecessary. The 2025 CBL Committee aims to streamline the document, making it clearer and easier to follow. Detailed procedures, software guidelines, grievance handling, and job specifics will be moved to a new “policy document” folder. The Constitution will remain mostly unchanged, aside from grammatical fixes, repetition of various functions scattered thought out the entire document. The goal is to separate these functions to put them where they belong in the constitution, bylaws or the new policy procedure guide while being much more understanding and readable to all. The By-Laws will be simplified and reference policy documents for daily operations. This change allows simple updates to non-essential tasks, while maintaining key club policies as firm by-laws. The current lengthy, outdated document will be refined, with a revised version ready for member review and vote by mid-year. The goal is a clearer, more accessible resource that eliminates the need for frequent revisions while preserving essential processes.

Breeders Ads

This is a reminder for paid members that we do have ads available on our website for your farm. At one time, we had many of them and the page was filled with a map and many icons. It's looking a little sad at the moment. So, this is a reminder in case you were not aware, that you can set up an ad for your seramas for $25 per year.
